The original Mr. Nice Guy
I had a little white Alamo Fiesta guitar during the 60's. Bought it used from a friend of a friend for $50. Two pickups, volume and tone controls, toggle switch. Great intonation and tone. It was my first two pickup electric guitar. Wished I still had it... I'd love to see what it would sound like through my JCM 900 2500 half stack! Alamo also made a Fiesta amp too... around 5 watts and all tubes (6V6 and 12AX7). They were made in San Antonio Texas. I heard that Billy Gibbons has a big collection of the amps, and actually used one in the studio on the early ZZ Top albums.

This is the one I'm talking about... built by Texan's in 1965.

Alamo Fiesta

Yes,

I have a 1962 or 63 Alamo No. 2588 Fiesta Spanish solidbody

See attachments.

It's the Twin Steel Reinforced Electric
Cost new $62.50
Purchased ? 1983 $40

No markings, serial numbers, pick guard replaced with one made from
an old A&W Rootbeer Tray. Tuning heads replaced in 2006 by Joe Riggio
Service Guitar Repair ? Tacoma. In 2010, I had Joe replace the 1st and 2nd fret wires, due to wear, redress the fret board, install a Lollar Imperial (8.2hz) pickup with new pots, and restring it with Nines. ($300).

The neck, bridge, nut and body are original, but I had to mod it since it was just not useful in my studio.

The neck is wonderful, very fast and clean, especially since Joe fixed it. The Lollar has great sustain and I use it for recording with my BR1180CD. The effects patches are outstanding. Fun!

I am just fruit for weird, old obscure guitars like that. Thanks for posting.

do you happen to know the scale length of this guitar? i've got a body and am trying to put a neck on it.

About 35 years ago I owned an Alamo Montclair Reverb amp [their copy of the Fender Deluxe Reverb]. I wish I still had it. It was a great amp. The tubes lasted forever.
