I have starting sponsoring projects on Kickstarter; it looks like a lot of CD projects get successfully funded on this site. I mean if you can put together a reasonable project then you can presell enough CDs (at a handsome price too) to fund studio time & CD pressing, then you have a bundle of paid-for CDs to sell at shows!
I am thinking of doing a project myself, not quite a straight CD project but anyway . . . any experiences? And if you have a project, post it here so we can all sponsor it!
