I'm very interested in this product--sounds a little too good to be true (i.e., decent powered monitors for about $300 street).

I am looking at getting these too...

I haven't heard them but from what I gather, they are not professional monitors... but are very good for a home-recorder or hobbyist recorder...

fact is alot of people doing home recording simply cannot afford the high end studio equipment... this is where M-audio has seemed to have stepped in... making high quality recording equipment at prices even us simple folk can afford.

Hey... they'll be much much better for mixing than my computer speakers I'm using now...

P.s. I also like that they are shielded for desktop monitoring in mind... I like this since they will be placed beside a computer monitor for me..

So far, the only place I've seen on the web carrying them is SoundChaser for $299/pair...

Yo Whoopisnorpadorpa:

Hey, for about 100 bucks LESS, you can get the Yorkville YSM-1 monitors -- they would do the job quite well.

But, monitors are all in one's ears and, yes, wallets.

Green Hornet:D :D :p

but the YSM1's are not powered... they make a powered version... but a pair of those is more than $300
