i've got a taylor ce-10 accoustic/electric. i 've also 3 other guitars that play silky smooth. when i play my taylor, i slide my fingers up and down 1st to 3rd to the 5th frets(actually all of them) and i am always running into the frets. it's also harder to play. i use med gauge strings like my other guitars.

i've had the nut cut,the saddle shaved, and the neck adjusted.(been doing this for 27 years).
my favorite guitar repaiman said he could shave down the frets then reshape the angle of the frets. i would take the taylor back to the dealer but it's 3 years old and not a warranty issue. it didn't feel this when i first played i/bought it.

my question is:

has anybody else run into this on taylors or any guitar they've owned? if u had your frets reshaped, how did it turn out?
thanks a lot--jw

ps:i only use med gauge strings--don't want or like lights.

I have had the frets dressed on me LesPaul and an Am Std Strat. I don't think it's that big of an issue, just preference really. Some guys dress the frets of every guitar they get.
