Nice song. Not my cup of tea but I really like the vocals when they come in at 2:41 ;)

I really liked where you went with this song.
Sounds like a song for a musical. :)

Hi

I like the song, it's very original. The vocal is also nice.

/Jack Real.

You want to record DRY to the tape/computer, so that effects can be tweaked in later.

You probably will want to run playback and the vocals going through fx box to the monitor headphones so the artiste can hear it while performing, but NOT to recorded permanently.

Lol, I completely agree.

The song started and my first thought was "is she british?" and then I noticed you're from London! :)

I don't have much to say. It's all syth/sampled, isn't it? It would sound a lot better with real instruments. Just sounds a little dull as it is.

sorry just picked up the replies - thanks for listening, and yes it is dull as it is. Wish I had a band...

p.s I did actually record this dry - I added reverb and then some echo which doesn't quite work like I wanted to(the idea was a kind of pre-echo bringing in each chorus)

p.p.s when can I start giving out reply points?

Glad to see you've sacked the singing elf... :)

I agree with the previous comments... it needs to sound less like a keyboard and more like a real band... how you achieve that is another question...

What are you using to get your sounds?

Hi Al - yes the elf, alas is gone may it rest in peace

I'm just using the SW1000XG sound card samples so you get the horrible cut+paste MIDIness sound. I tried to learn guitar but was rubbish - still it's just a hobby.

Check out Garritan Personal Orchestra...

Or EWQL symphonic orchestra

You'll get better sounds out of either of those...
