Hey Jord...

I listened to six tracks....looking for a gem. Nope.

Your recorded sounds are pretty good.

But five of the pieces are locked into a two-bar repeating figure...and then stuff is thrown on top of it...then more stuff.

Not musical. Not much groove. The tracks are, what, 30 seconds? They get boring after 10 seconds.

This smacks of 'stuff' composed on a keyboard into a DAW, without benefit of forethought....or not composing in the brain, first. Just random peckings that sort of sound OK.

I'm sure you have real music in your head. You have to learn to tune in, and listen, and make it happen in real life. It ain't easy. But you don't have to know anything about notes or nuthin'...just practice putting down what you hear in your head. But it's going to be especially difficult for you, I think, because you will always want to revert to first habits.

This stuff is not good at the very fundamental level. Improve composition, and everything else is in place to make it sound OK.

My own brother composed orchestral work this way...the same hard-to-enjoy chaos....and I told him it sucked...cuz I loved him. You gotta find the other path....or not get anywhere as a recordist AND composer.
 
hehe you are right i dont like the album anymore, thats because i made it in one fevered night! but i made 3 vols. of background sounds where each song has like 10 different parts but it seems like people like nite sounds more. couldnt it be considered modal!

Keep at it. Go deeper looking for what you got that's playing un-noticed in your head. Everything else is in place, waiting for the music.
