I am recording a song for a friends wedding song (oohh a nice sounding one, hehehe) and all I have left is to record the acoustical guitar part. I am using the good old Sure Beta 58 but I have a problem. We recorded the scratch with an electric and it sounds good (besides a few mess ups) but when he is using the acoustic I cannot get a loud enough signal to work with. I can't boost it enough and keep it clean even through the puter.
When recording vocals, 12 string (has a pick up) and the electric, I will run through my Korg Pandoras Box and it amplifies it just fine but not with the miked acoustic???
I have a Peavy Bass amp(my bass player uses and is not at my house) that has pre outs, will this work? I know if it comes out a little too bassie I can probably clean it up through Cakewalk.
What are my options?
Oh yeah, Sony MDM-X4 II
Anyone? Bueller, Bueller.......
