Hi, I need a preamp for my studio, but i don't know which is the best ! I thought of the ART mta gold or the TL audio ivory 5001. It seems to be very great. Tell me your ideas please !! It can be 2 or 4 channels. Thanks !

You've come to the right place! There's a ton of opinions on preamps around here, try the search also, you'll find a lot to read. I only have cheapo tube single channel pre's and the ones in my DAW's. It's amazing what the price range is on these things.

There are many many many excellent pre's out there, but there is NO BEST.

Another great value is the Speck 5.0

What do you want the Pre for? What is you're budget? What mics do you have? Do you need a DI? ....

I planned on spending around 500$ US for a 2 channels pre, and I don't know exactly what is a DI can you explain me please ?

The FMR Audio RNP8380 preamp is nice and in your price range.

A DI is a "Direct Injection" or "Direct Input" box... it's used for impedance matching. For example... you would use a DI box for coupling a Hi impedance device like a guitar to a Low impedance device like a mixing board (Hi-z 1/4" phone jack to Low-z XLR).
