I'm still using the stock tube on my tube pre---->Listen here to my Tubepre sample I really like this thing. Anyway...Just wondering if anyone has sucsessfully tried differnt tubes and what were the results

I swapped out the stock tube for an Electro Harmonix 12ax7. It sounds a little different, I guess I like it better. I'm not a big fan of the thing in the first place, but I figured it was worth the 8 bucks to see before I blew a whole lot more on a decent pre. My favorite application for the thing is a di for my bass, but I like it OK on my condenser mic for vocals too.
