Any opinions on Slingerland Spitfire?

Hello,
I noticed someone selling one of these in the paper today and was wondering if anyone knows much about them. I can't find much on the internet about them. The guy selling it says its about 10 years old and comes with paiste high hat and ride cymbals. He's asking $500 for it. I'm looking for a decent used kit for recording.
Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.
 
not quite...

it's an entry level kit put out in tre cool sizes back in the day, when he was an endorser. if you like large drums it might be worth looking at, but you can probably find something better for $500. if the cymbals are 2002, alpha, sound formula, or signature paistes though, they are probably worth the money on their own.
 
Thanks for the replies. I think I'll keep looking, a couple of the cymbals are broken I guess.
