Any one know a good hip-hop studio setup

hey,

I need advice on what a good setup would be for a hip-hop studio. Such as what keybords, synths, effects, mics and other things like that I should use.
 
IT ALL DEPENDS

I DO HIP-HOP MYSELF ALSO R&B RAEGEA & GOSPEL. HOWEVER I SET UP FOR HIP-HOP ORIGINALLY. TO RECORD I HAD A FOUR TRACK ANALOG RECORDER(424MK3) FROM TASCAM, TO MAKE BEATS I USED THE ASR X PRO FROM ENSONIQ THE PRICES ON THOSE VARY. BUT THEY DO IT ALL FROM SEQUENCING,SAMPLING AND BEING A MIDI CONTROLER AMONG OTHER THINGS. ALONG WITH A YAMAHA PSR-340 DON'T KNOW THE REAL PRICE BOUGHT IT FROM A PAWN SHOP AND A $50 MIC AND IT MADE GOOD MUSIC
IF I CAN HELP FURTHER LET ME KNOW THERE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE ALOT OF HIP-HOPPERS HERE:cool:
 
depends....whats your budget? Also, what kind of beats do you wanna make. Do you need instruments or just hip hop samples and sounds?

I've used an MPC-2000XL and a roland XV-5080 and found that I like the 5080 a lot better (its also a lot harder to use and more expensive). It's all about your personal taste when it comes to modules. Try em out at the stores and see which one you like best.
 
I MUST AGREE

WHICH I DON'T DO ALOT. MOST OF IT IS PREFENCE AND PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS GOING TO HAVE THEIR FAV. BUT THE ASR X PRO HAS A DECENT PRICE AND IS USER FRIENDLY
