I have a family member who's an authorized JBL dealer, but evidently there's a family feud going on, and I'm guilty by association... so I've lost my connection for getting stuff at cost. Anywho, I blew out a voice coil (diaphragm) on the HF Driver / horn of a G-734 cab. I know I used to be able to pick one of these up for ~$40 - $75.00 back in the day (it's been quite a few years since I had to replace one), but now I look, and the cheapest price I can find for an OEM (not aftermarket) 2416H-1 (D8R2416-1) diaphragm starts at $124.00, and goes up to $170.00 for one.
So, are there any JBL Dealers here (I'll keep it a secret).. if so e-mail me and let me know what you can do. If not, has anybody heard anything good, bad or indifferent on the aftermarket voice coils?? I hate to go with something other than JBL, especially if I plan to get rid of these within the year and upgrade to a pair of SR4722X's or SR4725X's, and want to sell the G-743's as true JBLs. Any and all help will be appreciated!!!!!!!
