I'm looking for a small mixer for my home recording setup. The Mackie VLZPRO series is getting a lot of raves. Problem is, I really like the layout and control architecture of the CFX series inculding the effects. AS I understand it the CFX line is really meant more for PA work, but it could be used for recording too. The only potential flaw I see is the 9 band graphic which cannot be bypassed. Hard to say how much affect it would have if I keep all the sliders in the flat "0" detent.
Anyone have any experience with a Mackie CFX series mixer for recording?
