Guinea Pig
Hi peeps,

Just got Audicity and am clicking around trying to find out how to remove the vocals from a track? Is this possible on Audicity? Help would be highly appreciated :D

Cheers

Start with a stereo track, the next to the track title click on the arrow and select "split stereo track", select one of the mono track, go to effects and click on "invert", then mix both tracks.

It will not work -just like in any other program- if the vocal is not dead center. And it will take away any other instrument that is also in the center.

what do you mean by remove the vocals from the track? is it a track you recorded with audacity or with another program? or is it a track from an mp3 or something?

not to mention it will leave any vocal effects that are not dead centre as well, i.e. reverb. That sounds terrable.
