Hey,
My band has been recording in the studio recently, trying to figure out the best way to capture our sound.
Our favorite tones are on old blues records, and we also like the recordings of the White Stripes, Black Keys, and Dr. Dog. All very overdriven and dirty but very real and live sounding.
Since all of those bands made their albums with simple home recording techniques on an 8 track, we're thinking that that might be the way to go.
Before I buy an 8 track and try to teach myself to record with it, I figured it might make more sense to meet someone who's further down the road with analog experimentation.
We have a big house in city that we rehearse in and there would be plenty of room for setting stuff up. We'd also pay for your efforts.
Our first E.P. is up at www.myspace.com/bailiffmusic
If you hear something you like, or just want to give it a try, please email me at bailiffmusic@gmail.com
Thanks,
Josh
