Hi,

(already posted this on newbie section but I'll post it here too)

I already have a pretty good listening studio, but now i want to record some songs. The plan is just me singing to a backround music either from karaoke machine or regular cd player for now. Ive been thnking to record to a vhs tape for now, and maybe in future to a reVox kind of tapes. I already went and bought a small digital setup for 1 grand, but it pretty much sucks, and i hate computers. So Im now going for analog.
I have the least knowledge on recording, so I dont know 100% exactly what stuff to get.

I have been looking at these:

Mixer: MACKIE 1642 VLZ3

Microphone: AUDIO TECHNICA AT4081

I havent decided on headphones or microphone stand yet

But anyway, do i need something more? Is this all i need? My budget is around 2-3 grand, thanks.
