any advantage of duplicating a fast speed?

might be a silly question:D, would there be any advantage duplicting from computer to a 4track cassette to be played back on a normal stereo cassette machine. What Im saying is the track in the computer has been sped up.

High speed cassette duplication was mainly a commercial way to make many copies of tape quickly for sale. One could imagine that better results might be acheive by speeding up tape:D

Faster = more product in less time = more income/profit (hopefully) for the duplicating house. The quality would not be enhanced in any way but actually could/did suffer.

Real time duplication on quality built and maintained equipment yielded the best results. That's why duplicators charged more for it.
