which should I get? I don't have too much money. What's dual core exactly?

Athlon??
Dual core is the ability to run two processors at allegedly faster total speed for the PC. I dont think you would need that..
The athlon XP series is really great...OR the athlon xp64 is for 64 bit.
I have the athlon xp64 3500 (winchester core)
but like I said, the athlon xp 2200 or so should treat you very well.memory is important. 1 gig is reccomended.
of course HD space.

I have an Athlon XP 3000+. I don't remember how much I paid for it, but that was a year and a half ago anyways, so the price has dropped since then.
