antares and cubase or directx ignorance

i just installed anteres mic modeler and can't figure out how to use it. when i set it as an effect i just get a pull down menu that saus init1 init2 init2 etc... i am retarded. how do i pick and create or "model" as it where different mics? please excuse my ignorance. p.s, its like that with all my direcx pluggins.

If I'm not mistaken, try to edit the effect and it will pull the unit up, make your selection from there and it will show up at the top of the list. I havn't used many of my directX stuff yet, but if I remember right that is what happened when I was using a soundforge room emulator.
