Hello to all!

I know there are many threads like these, so I want short and to the point answers is possible.

Home recording is my hobby which means I won't get any money out of it to invest much, and I need a mic MOSTLY for vocals and acoustic guitar, and maybe some small wind instruments from time to time, but these are with low priority. I looked through ebay and the cheapest mics I could find (new or used) are:

Behringer C1, C3, B2 pro
MXL 990 / 991
MXL MCA SP1
NADY SCM800
ADK Project G GX-1
...

I've read around a lot and by my own opinion I think it comes down to this:

MXL 990 / 991

VS

ADK Project G GX-1

Now the ADK has shockmount with it, and the mxl 990 has a little brother 991 for acoustic guitar. I've also read some bad things about the 990, but I don't know anything about that ADK and I know ADK i s a brand to be trusted. So what do you guys think, which one should I go with?

Or should I chose another mic?

Thanks!

Thanks for all of your resourceful replies, very useful ;)

I ended up buying myself an used MXL V63M for 50$ while I could have got myself also used mxl 990/991 combo for 45$, but I thought I better get one good mic than two bad ones.

Do you guys think I made a good decision there??

Well the auction of a very cheap 990/991 combo was coming to an end, and there was also a very cheap offer for the mxl v63m so I had to react fast, and I was going for the combo 990/991 all the way, but I don't know what really got to me in the last moment of the auction which made me change my mind and so I bought the V63M.

By the way I watched that video myself before I made the decision.

So are you telling me now that I made a bad choice? :( :(

Noo, I even have someone on the phone saying the V63m is a great mic for singing and such, not so much rap or something.

But I was just stating that hte MXL 990 is a good mic, and gave you an example of quality =)
