Tom,

Balance is seems real good but it's coming across as kinda thick and muddy. How are you mixing your tracks?

I'm gonna agree with Phil, it is coming across a bit muddy. There is a lot of stuff going on in the low mids that need some sorting out.

The drums don't sound too bad, though I'm having trouble hearing much other than the snare with clarity.

It has a nice stereo image to it. Its kinda fun to figure out whats going on where in the mix. I'm curious what you are mixing on, as well.

Thank you for your comments, guys.Your ears do not deceive you. There is a lot of voices competing for attention in the low-mids.My drive got fried somehow and I ghosted back to my most recent known good setup for audio.I wanted to do a test recording with a fair number of instruments to make sure I wasn't getting any digital clicks or pops on playback. As a quicky substitute for using EQ to carve a sonic space for each instrument,I used panning to separate similar timbres. Two rhythm guitars, piano and organ are the main competitors.
I did not use a hardware mixer. All tracks were DI via the C-Port or J-Station.I used the n-Track mixing software to set levels, panning, effects etc.
Normally I'd prefer a lean mix but this time I threw everything into the pot.
