another porta fx question

So, I'm contemplating a mixdown that will actually involve some use of the fx loops on a 424mkii. Basically, there are 2 vocal tracks that I would like to add reverb to. I only have one reverb unit (stomp box). Once they are sent out through the unit and back to the 424, the 2 wet vocals are forever married together, right?

Say I wanted to have the 2 vox tracks panned hard left and right, the reverberated vocals (the wet mix) would still have to be centered, or at least panned together, correct? No way to pan wet lead vocals one way and wet backing vocals the other?

To accomplish this, I would need another fx unit and use the 2nd fx loop, I assume? I'm not sure I would even want to do this, but I'm just wondering.

I hope this doesn't sound like a walters question...

yippee for me! Maybe I'll start a whole series of stupid obvious questions where I provide my own answers:

What is the best way to return to the beginning of a tape? I would assume one should use the "rewind" function on the tape deck, but maybe there is a better way.

Maybe not.
