i second the thanks...thats a good one to have. I've been needing just a couple more 2x4's

Agreed, also note that they list having the Knaupf and Certainteed Black faced products that can be used without a fabric covering. If visuals are not critical these might save the cost of fabric and frames.

I never knew this. Thanks a bunch Innovations, My mums been worrying about me breathing the fibers etc so i can tell her this, i will still use material tho, for aesthetic reasons.

If you can only get unfaced, you can use lightweight Muslin (like $1.50 per yard) and some poly batting (also cheap) from JoAnn Fabrics and hold the fibers in that way without a lot of cost.

the poly batting doesnt reduce the absorbtion right?

Aren't you in Oregon? There is a place in Portland that I just bought a bunch of 2" stock.

The poly batting provides a minimal amount of additional HF absorbtion. The only time you really don't want to use it is if you're covering a scrim faced absorber that is supposed to be primarily a bass only device.

i drove about 45 minutes to meet with a guy from this place to pick up some 703 and pipe insulation. they were very nice and quite helpful. He was waiting at the door for me when I showed up. Definatly a good place to deal with.
