im lookinG for some monitors since people tell me i should get them, but honestly, i dont know wat they'll do...i just got that it will make it sound more accurate, and thats exactly wat im looking for.
I'm recording vocals and want more accuracy, since im working with nothing.

My question is, with budget anywhere between 250 to 400, wHats a good brand to use?

Well..to sum up..the most noticeable difference between monitors and speakers is that, monitors produces a "honest" sound...while a speaker reproduces sounds from whatever has been given. but if u want ur music to sound reasonably good on all types of sound systems(cars,hi-fi systems etc..), then consider getting an overall good monitor.

KRK is an affordable choice with decent sound for mixing

i was offered two krk power 5's for 275
or 2 krk power 8's for 450 no tax at guitar center..
good deals? i told him i'd sleep on it

If you are going to spend $450 and you want some accurate bass, try giving the Event TR8s as listen. I really like mine, nice full bodied smooth neutral sound. At least listen to some other brands in your price range.

Mackies and KRK's are one of the best in the budget range. I love Tannoys too but cant afford them :(
