Hey guys,

I just put up another mix on my link called "Love Me September". Sort of a simplified number with a driving rock thing going on.

This will be the last mix I put up for a while, so I really wanted to thank you guys for the feedback and all the kind words.

Let me know what you think! :DLove Me September

I think singer sings like Johnny rotten (sex pistols), and I love that!!!
Very agressive song, (but not so much...)
No tech commment (I,m only "hearing the music",very far from my home (~1.700 miles) and without my studio monitors (but in a pair of cheap pc speakers, sounds great too...)

haha! thanks man.

That's definitly one I didn't even think about. But I think certain parts sort of do give that away. :D

Man, now I'm definitly hearing the song in a different way since you brought it up. Kina cool if you ask me :D

Dude your stuff sounds close to professional level. Its soo impressive I wish I could record that good. What equipment/software do you use?

Great tune Lee. I'm not too wild about the panning shift at 0:23 because it seems a little empty on the one side but it don't last long. The rest is superb. Love the "Love me in September" effect you have happening at 1:47. Liking the drum tracks a whole lot. Don't be away too long man!

Well just really simple stuff. The drums where done at a home studio on Focusrite Reds...

But other than that it's wildly simple. 002 Rack with a small Mackie VLZ XDR that I bought specificly for this project. It's really a favor to a friend (as well as messin with some good tunes), so we opted to do it privately rather than shelling out the cash (1000 a day) for a high end studio. Though the consoles and nice gear does make it easier on me :D

Mics are not too out of the ordinary. SM57S, Beta 52/Beta91, CM95s...

I was just really taught that way. If I can make the most with a little, then the studio is really not much of a problem. Except for tech issues

Thanks for the comments, man. :)

As simple as it was....definitly a WEIRD song to mix man.

Guitars took a couple of weeks to finally get down (with that fabulous schedule I have lately), so I guess it's gotten better from where it was. Of course always room for improvment. Good ear man!

And you know I won't be gone too long! I'm glad you dig the overall tune :D

ps...

Bob you got any music that you've recorded? I'm dying to hear some of your material man :D

Nothing I can share right now but maybe soon I'll get an opportunity to jump in on a recording session in this new studio my buddies building in alligator alley. ;)

Another great mix Lee, you really have a great sound going on the instruments - drums really shine..... Again pass my compliments on to the band. Job well done by all.....
