annoying grinding from my speakers

O.K.
I just bought a new computer (P4, 1GB ram 80G hard drive, XP) and a delta 24/96 soundcard to run sonar 4. I also have a pair of KRK Rokit 5 monitors.
The problem I have is there is a grinding sound every time I move a window around or open a program. I have checked on another computer with the same speakers and the same problem exists.I am not thinking the speakers arer bad. Any suggestions?????????????????
P.S. it makes the same sounds with the internal sound card also.
Speakers,? signal routing?

Check the Sound properties in Control Panel.

You might have the window open or move events triggering the sound
 
In general, it's good to have all system sounds turned off when using a computer for audio.
