Not feelin it as is. You have to put some nice drums in it at a minimum but basseline too would be even better. It's a usable sample though you just have to elaborate more on the whole beat.
 
err...man thats good sample, but your hsops were off and the melody did not flow, you also have to make the drums bang ALOT harder, and rechop and set up again. remebr to time stretch

Thanks, most ppl wouldn't prolly want to tell where the sample came from, but, since I'm just starting ( 14 ), I don't mind, it's Percy Sledges "It Tears Me Up"...And for the " you can only sample offa vinyl " type ppl-it's offa cd

And yea, I got to work on the drums, ain't really learned how to use the time stretch yet tho
 
i never sample off a vinyl, i usually just take aosng and chop it on audascity, try to find 2torials online, they REALLY HELP ALOT, especially video ones

Tell me about it, happened to some ppl I know, but, I make prolly 5-10 beats a day using different samples, etc... So I don't mind sharing 1 or 2...

PS, the other stuff I got on my soundclick page is mostly my attempts to fully compose stuff, I normally keep my sampled beats local
