Dogman

Unkle Ticklefingers
I have a tune I am working on that is way different. No vocals yet, as the lyrics are being worked out, but I only started this afternoon.
This aint what you think it is..... :D

The Dogman Rap.

You need to add some falling over beer bottle sounds and burps. :D The one change before the guitar comes in reminds me of the Humpty Dance, those were good times back then.

What are you using to get the beats?

Thanks guys. I had some lyrics that werent working, so I started playing with some samples that I have. A few beats fit some of the words, so i decided I might have some fun with something really different. These are some free samples that came with some hardware. I had teh cd sitting in my bedroom for quite some time, and decided to see what it is. Pretty weird stuff, huh? I'm going to see if I can finish it today, as we are leaving for a few weeks, and I'd like to get it done. Thanks for listening.

Can't say i wasn't a bit surprised to hear this one, im used to your more grinding/metal riffs. Lead remiinds me a bit of what dr dre was doing in the early 90's with the high squeals and stuff. Like the break at like 1:26. Real deep lows on this, i dig it. The changes seem to flow pretty nicely, one at the end took me a bit off guard. I don't know im into the whole electronic feel of it, can't wait to hear it with vox.

Take care
gary

This is sweet Dogman! I heard the beat and was ready for your heavy power chord to come in, but then... well i don't know what came in. Can't wait to hear some lyrics with this thing.
The 1:29 part is a classic... check your email man... i sent you some junk
The songs all over the place but it still flows from piece to piece well.
The ending is eemmmotional.

Get working on those vox, don't let down your new rap/electronica fanbase :p

Gary, Snake, thanks guys. The words are way more off teh wall than the music. They make no sense now, but seem to flow well in my mind. We'll see what comes out though....
I will try and get a take or 2 down between loads of laundry. Having a wife that is working on her Masters can suck at times....

Hi Dogman

I like it a lot. It has a catchy grove and a lot of variants thoughout the song. Very original and very good production.

Nice work,

Jack Real.

Ok, here is a version with vocals, before I leave. It is a very odd piece, I must say.... :D

Straight up! Coming to a club near you....... DOGMAN!

This thing cracks me up man! Whatever effects you're running with the vocals sounds perfect for this song. I think you need to turn them up some though.

Man you should do like a electronica/hard rock mix with some clean funk mixing in here and there like this song. I've been thinking about mixing some stuff like this into songs... if i can ever get that synth to work!!!!

Groovy man

Thanks, dude. The vocals are done with the Death Metal setting on the phaser in Sonar, and a lot of verb. I tried to rap, but dude, your dad raps about 1000% better than I do.... It totally sucked. And I used about 1/6th of the lyrics I wrote for this..
But, it was fun. Kind of a break to do something really different.
Thanks, man.
Ed

Hehe :D
Nice tune man, gives me a real Gta san andreas vibe.
Feels like I`m cruising and bruising.
You tha Dog`` Man :D

Really cool, that funky guitar really grooves, this is really classic.

Great man.

2, thumbs up

Naka, Wil, thanks guys. Just something to be different. Goatta have some fun, right? It was supposed to be more rap, but Snake showed me a song with his Dad rappin, and the dude blew me away, so I had to change it up. :D
Thanks.

Hehe, I never thought I'd hear that! I might just have to post that sometime the way he's getting built up around here. Or maybe you'd want him as a guest star, it'd be Ed and Ed... cause his names Ed :D

Now a guest appearance would be sweet!!!!

This is killer, Dog. Great arrangement, cool sounds and good groove. Like someone else mentioned, you have a mid-90's Dre thing happening at times. Nice guitar breaks. Somoene very cool unexpected breaks and stops. Very well done.

This is definitely new stuff for the Dogman. I think the ROBOT was the best comment here (lol). I like the different kinds of guitars that retain analog feel. Very cool sounds - this would fit in any DJ's collection. :)
