Hi All,

I just found an old piece of treasure in the junk room in my house...a sony reel to reel (i think) stereo tape recorder...

It has rca ins...and what looks like two spots to position reels of tape...

I have never done any analog stuff before (besides mixer...i record on my computer)

What kind of tapes do I need to use this thing, and is it even worth tampering with?

Thanks.

Educated guess,...

sounds like you need 1/4" analog reel tape, in either the 10.5" or 7" reel.

"Is it worth it", is a relative question, depending on who you ask.

Good luck.

Yo Milkman:

Just found this site in TAPE OP magazine. It may be of help regarding your recent find in the attic.

www.playitagainsam.com

Or

Analogservice@aol.com [repairs all types of reel to reel.]

Good luck and leave me two quarts of chocolate milk in the morning.
