I Knew an Anna Madio in high school... she was Italian... really nice legs too. Probably no relation though.

This all reminds me of the current fad in new furniture construction to distress the look of the piece by blending colors and marring up the finish to make it appear as a genuine period item.

For me, the best things about working with a decent analog recorder is not in how mangled I can get the sound to be but in how comfortable I am to work with the gear to not impede the creative process of putting compositional ideas together.

There is a very real difference in the tactile feel of working in analog in that you see, hear and feel real objects performing a task as apposed to simulating only one of those senses artificially and expecting that one act to satisfactorily replace all the others as well...sort of like only looking at a beautiful woman compared to actually being with one.

Besides, you can run your master through two of these for cheaper. Adjust overdrive and color to suit and you’re done… :D
