Analog to Digital help

Hi! I am using a small converter to change analog signals to digital. Ultimately, this music is heading for my MacBooks Pro and Garageband. The problem is the output on the converter is coaxil S/PDIF/ or TOSLink, both are no good to me. The only way I know of to get it into MacBook is thru a USB port and I can't find any way to get those two adapted to a USB cable. There is probably a simple explanation and electronics are not my cuppa. Can anyone offer a solution or an alternative way to do this? Thanks Mucho!

Google is your friend.
TOSLink to USB adapter at Amazon.
SPDIF to USB adapter at Amazon

I can't comment on the quality or usability of any of these products.

The first list is mostly USB to SPDIF, with some DACs mixed in. The second link goes to a list of DACs. In my experience to get SPDIF into the computer through USB you have to get a full featured interface with mic inputs etc. Simpler devices are almost all outputs from the computer, not inputs to the computer.
