I have two reels from when a group I was singing with went in a studio and did some recording. One is a 16-track reel and the other an 8-track reel. Due to a number of reasons, we never had the recordings mixed or recorded onto another media. They were recorded during two sessions and during the second session the 16-track recorder was down thus the 8-track reel.

They are about 10 years old. I would like to get those into a digital format so I could mix them and make a couple of copies for friends/family.

Does anyone have any advice as to a company/studio that does that kind of work and what it might cost?

Brand and make please.Assuming they are tascams,They may be possibilities.

Your best bet would probably be looking for a local studio with compatible tape decks, and see if they will digitize them for you.
