The Pie Guy
Wattsa Matta y'all

Aren't ya in the mood for Christmas yet?
Does anyone like it?
Am I wasting my time (and yours?)
Corny?
Passe'?
Hokey?
Cheerful?
Fun?
You tell me....OK?

I know I am a new guy on the block but, hey.
Cut me some slack here will ya?

How is the production?
The recording?
The Mix?
The lyric?
Shmoltz?
Genius?
Average?
The structure?
The Feel?
I guess it all comes down to...............

Do you like it or not (please, be honest........OK?)
Joe?

Wow, why don't you wait more than a day before complaining that no one has commented yet. I think that's a record around here.

Not complainin'
and not one day.
two almost three days...yes?
Just lookin for input...ya know?
later.

I hear what you're saying...but its a weekend. Trust me, you'll get listens, just have freakin' patience!:D

Hey Joe, do you have a link for a download? My connection is shitty and it would be unfair to critique a stream. Most of us here would rather download a tune for accuracy.

Great tune Joe! I loved it. It sounds great on my system (Events) too! It was a little bass guitar heavy, but I'm really nit-picking here. Glad you were persistent in getting me to download it.:D

Well worth the download folks!

So tell me a little about this collaboration. What gear and all that good stuff. I'm telling ya Joe, this is going in my Xmas rotation.

Glad ya like it

Willie did the guitar tracks,
all of the vocals,
and the harmonica
with a Rolland 8-track in Connecticut (at home.)
Willie plays a Vintage Martin flat-top

Willie sent an MP3 to joeyD who in turn, burned it to a disk

JoeyD converted to .WAV and added the bass, drums and sleighbells in his studio in Louisiana (I will have to find out what equipment was used but, it is his own for hire studio.) then re-converted back to .MP3

All I did was the lyric (in Massachusetts.)

Pretty cool though that it can be done.
None of us have ever met face to face.
We did indeed have a great time doing it.

Thanks for the compliment and I will spread the word to the others.

Merry Christmas Mr. Miller!

I liked it.

It is refreshing having new X-Mas songs instead of the tired old standards.

I like it.

Pardon my saying, but it's cheesy in a good way. The backing harmonies are nice too.

I can't really say much about the mix. I'm listening through some headphones at work.

Sounds like the reverb is just right on the vox too.

nice one man, i'm feeling all christmassy now.

:p

Rochey

Thanks

Rochey and jgourd,
Glad you like it.
We have received quite a bit of positive feedback
but none is sweeter than that which comes from our peers
and yes, it is cheesey...in a good way:)
I think that it is a song that everyone can listen to and relate to....ya know?

Thanks again and.........
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

P.S. Hey j...........where in Boston are you from?
I grew up in Southie and live up north now.
