The great Alan Parsons track in the Mixing Clinic made me remember a track I did years ago. I found it on Youtube. I remember I was teaching music tech and we were doing continuous controllers, fader automation and stuff like that, so this track let me try out controlling filters and resonance controllers. I set it as a project. Gave the students the Alan Parsons track of the Time Machine, and gave them the task of re-creating it. From memory - Yamaha XG synth modules, a Roland 1080 and a Korg Triton LE (I think keyboard) plus a Boss drum machine. I uploaded my entire collection much more recently and forgot this one was out there.

Nice rob. Not familiar with the original so I can't mark you on that but nice tones and well balanced

The worst part is trying to keep the original’s off beat drums and bass. I really i had kept copies of student work, i wasnt allowed to but i remember (and still have) one from a metal guitarist, who wasnt popular so he had to do evrything himself. He couldnt play or sing at the correct tempo, so it was absolutely horrible, like a train wreck horrible. I might be able to find that as i was allowed to use that one for examiner training.
