Just got Amplitube Metal today, but I ran into issues straight away. In the audio setup, with directx selected and buffer size 512, it gave a little lag, but sounded like the amps have been smashed with baseball bats. It sounded much better by significantly increasing the buffer size, but the latency is almost 5 seconds. Somebody suggested that I download ASIO drivers, which i did, but now in the audio setup, input channel says "Not Connected 1". I've plugged in my guitar through a 1/4 to 1/8 jack into the Mic input (was working with directx though). I know this is a very stupid problem, but i need help on this! Thanx!! (i'm new to Vista, so i'm having trouble getting around the sound setup for windows itself)

Oh, I forgot to add, my laptop is 1 day old and is pretty fast (core2duo p8600 2.4 ghz 1066fsb 3mb cache, 3gb ram)

You need to plug into the line input. The mic input adds more gain so you are probably clipping the soundcard to death before you get to amplitube.

You really need to go out and get a recording interface. The built-in soundcard is not designed to do what you are attempting. That is the real problem.
