ampeg bass amps good or bad???

PROFESSIONAL SOUND...good punch and defined notes...if you play nice...
 
Ampeg is THE standard for rock and roll. Admittedly, that is mostly the VHT, but all of there amps are very good.

depends on your taste. I'm a bass player used to very lows, smooth mids and crisp highs, so I chose SWR. If you're more into low mid thump, no highs Ampeg would be the way to go.

I play through a Hartke head- I like it alot- never played Ampeg- never heard anything bad about them though- always good
 
I agree with the positive thoughts about Ampeg (own one myself) But, you can check out Mesa Boogie and EBS too. I played a Mesa Boogie just recently, think it was called G400 or something and it outperformed my Ampeg completely....I want one now. It's expensive though....as good Ampegs are
