Amp-Soundcard problem HELP!!

Hello,
I have a Mesa F-30 amp and M-Audio 1010lt Sound Card.
On the back of the amp is a connection for recording/headphones.There is also a switch to turn off the speaker(important).When I plug the amp to the soundcard,I get LOTS of hum through the speaker(which is off).
Any Ideas?

What cables are you using to connect your amp to your soundcard?
