Amp Question???

Just another questions guys and I am hoping for some quick replies.

Is the Ampeg VH-140C 2x12 Combo the same "exact" as the plain head? Basicly would I get the "same sound" from the combo as I would with just the head?

If I hooked the combo up to a 4x12 cab would I get the SAME sound as if I was playing just the head and a 4x12 cab?

I can't speak for your ampeg, but in almost every other instance I can think of the heads and combos have the exact same innards. They do that, if for no other reason, to save money on production costs.

Any one head will not sound exactly like any other one, even if they are exactly the same. But the combo through a 4x12 should sound about the same as the head through the same 4X12.
