I've just bought what looks like a (VERY) early Amek mixer from eBay (UK) for a ridiculous amount of money ($70). 10 channels of pre (or so it seems) and a 7 channel matrix it looks like a bit of a custom job - but I'd like help in identifying the modules, if you'd be so kind!

The eBay link is
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....earch.dll?from=R40&satitle=330117574900&fvi=1

It's an eBay UK, and you can also find it by searching for the item number, 330117574900

I have a friend who did a similar thing (found a crapped out old Amek) and built a few excellent channels of pre from it, so I'm hoping I can at least go part way and not need to buy an M-Audio DMP3!

Thanks in advance for your time and help!

The older Amek stuff has a nice lush sound to it with a pretty responsive EQ. This particular one does not look like it has much EQ to it, but the preamps probably sounded pretty good at one point if it is an older Amek. The Amek stuff though has always been a bit of a maintenance hog though. I would highly consider talking to someone either at Amek or with a lot of Amek experience before purchasing this one. The pics that are shown lead me to believe that this one is going to need a lot of maintenance and maybe even a complete refurb. Not just because it is old, but because it looks like the parts may be in very ppor condition. Even the boards in it look to be in pretty poor shape (from what I can tell).
