I'm just building new machine based on new AMD64.
MBO is Asus K8V SE Deluxe and as you all know since memory prices jumped suddenly higher many dealers went panic so either sold all "older" chips or simply updated with new prices.
Well, mine is a good guy so I secured 3x 512 DDR400 for unbelievable value. (too good to refuse)
Problem is (maybe it isn’t problem at all) Asus recommend chips from Infineon,Kingmax,V-Data (A-DATA) My chips are V-Data (A-Data) 3x512 DDR400.
Thing is just that those on the list are only 256MB chips, so I wonder since it is from the same brand (Samsung) is it safe to assume that 512 will work just the same?
I ask this because I have no time to test the same, will leave for next weeks to finish this machine.
Just want to know, did any of you guys maybe already tested his Asus 64Mbo with this Memory.
This is from what I understand relatively new memory brand so I wonder even if in different configuration, does anyone have good/bad experience with this V-Data (A-Data) chips.
All ears.<>
