I am thinking of building an AMD based Daw - does anyone know if n-Track and the Delta DiO 2448 are compatable with the AMD chipset - are there other things I need to consider besides chipset compatability?

I use the DiO 2448 with an AMD K6 (I think) and it seems fine. I have some issues with the digital outs of the card when using Cubase.
Seems to work great with ACID, Vegas & Sound Forge. I can't speak for n-track, because I don't use it.
The issues with Cubase have to do with ASIO problems or something.

do you know that the 2448 is a digital only card?....

Well, not totally digital - it does have analog outs.
But all ins are digital. That is why I liked it.
Now I want a TDIF card instead.
