ambient metal mix ive started

hi all. i finally have my set up complete. i've been working on this as my first project. now i can finally monitor without latency, use my monitors and actually get my interface. you have no idea how pleased i am !

now i must embark on the next big hurdle; mixing! i'm not really sure where to start!

let me know what i need to do to improve it, any pointers or advice greatfully recieved!

As for the song, as unfamiliar as I am with the genre, I'm thinking the guitars sound a little thin and kind of fuzzy...like they need more meat and definition. The snare is pretty boxy sounding, the machine kick is maybe a bit much and the cymbals fizzle a little bit.

Not a bad arrangement by any means and the guitar playing is fine. Just needs to be a bigger and tighter mix. Of course, I could be totally wrong...
