Just wondering if any one else has got or seen a Hohner les paul copy. It was my fist guitar and still my fav even tough It's old and a little beat up it still sounds great! I think It was made on the 70's but I'm not sure, I know that Hohner have not made an electric in years. Can anyone shed a little light on this old guitar?

hohner made some pretty good instruments. prince played a hohner tele in the eighties before he got all weird about his guitars.

I had one briefly (an old Tokai came available at the right price), damn fine guitar for the money.

I happened up on a SG copy and bought it for my son years ago. It felt OK and sounded decent but I could never get it to stay in tune. It was like the neck was made out of Balsa wood or something.

he's recovering. :D in his latest video (can't remember the songtitle) he plays a black strat model. ;)

My buddy had one back in about '75. Black, looked virtually identical to a Gibson, other than the name.
But the thing never stayed in tune - like Track Rat said - the neck felt really light, and would bend if you looked at it the wrong way.
Worked well for all those blues jams, and stones covers at the time, though.

I had a friend that had a Hohner Les Paul copy. It was black with chrome hardware, including the the chrome pickup covers. I have no idea how old it was but I know it didn't sound very good. It had a lot of feedback and it just didn't feel like a Les Paul when I played it. All I know is that I hated the guitar and he did too -- sold it for $50.00.

I have a Hohner stick bass (Steinberger clone) somewhere...
B2B model... active pickups.... a nice little bass....records great......

My grandpa just recently bought/traded 75 dollars and a pistol that didnt work for a Hohner LP Copy. Obviously the pawn shop owner did not know what he had. It was a sunburst finish. Gold pickups(made to look like emg's), gold hardware. There was a little rust on the bridge and the tuners, so I got the rust off and took everything off and out of the guitar and refinished it since I'm not a big fan of sunburst. It's now satin black with a new Floyd Rose, the same pickups just with a different cover(black), and black hardware all over. I wanted it to be like the Epiphone Nightfall. It has a great tone and amazing intonation. If anyone on here ever has the chance to get their hands on one, I suggest you buy it.

Hold on a sec. If it's a collectable guitar, you just shot a big hole in it's collectability and value. Oh, well. I just hope your grandpa isn't pissed.
