Alto BK 2.0

Well, I went in to my local music store last night and bought an Alto BK 2.0 Compressor/Limiter/Gate. The guy there said they're basically the same as the Behringers... half decent performance for the price. ($75 Canadian). I will let everyone know how it works.

Believe it or not, the day I got it, I started a new job and haven't had a chance to even hook it up yet. Talk about a pain in the ass. I am going to give it a shot tonight.

I bought one for the same price here in Vancouver recently and it's actually a fairly decent unit so far. A rackmount 2 channel comp/limiter/expander for $75 ... it's almost ridiculous! Who knows ... maybe it will self destruct after 6 months!

I picked one up in a store and hits a lot more heavy than the berry stuff. Don't know if that means anything.

After using it for a while, I have to say ... you get what you pay for. I'd buy an RNC fir a little more money ... unless you just need it as a second or third compressor.

Having said that ... I like it better than the Behringer compressors, if that means anything ...
