Does anyone know of any free plug in that will do something similar to Waves RVox? I've used it before and really like it, but waves are out of my price range...

If you do a search here you will find alot of websites for free plugins I just cant remember them right now.... Too bad you can get the waves plugins...

I think the RVox plug is sold with the less expensive Musician's Bundle (either 1 or 2 or both). You should be able to get it for about $149 along with several other plugins. If you really like what it does, the investment is pretty low by Waves standards. Also, if you own a registered copy of the RenMax you can upgrade to a new version for about $79.
(I know what you mean about the RVox. It's really useful for quickly bringing up the volume of vocal tracks and getting just the right amount of compression.)
