I've been hit with a bugger of a problem with trying to dump tracks to my computer from my ADATs using a MOTU 2408mki. The real problem seems to be my program Vegas isn't WDM compatible and kinda gets really screwey when i try to record 24 bits from the 20 bit ADATs. Since people around the web have been sucessful with n-track and this setup, i thought i would use n-track for dumping tracks instead. And then migrate them to Vegas since both MOTU and Sonic Foundry recognise they have this problem but neither are really saying if they will come to a conclusion anymore. I digress, the 24 bit version of 3.0.4 is giving me the attached error when i try to record at any bit depth 16 or 24, i have the sampling rate correctly on 48000. :(

I've been on a roll of solving my own problems lately and creating more in the process. The setup process was confusing me, I needed to select Stereo->Two mono and 24 bit unpacked left justified to be able to monitor the inputs. But this is where things get ugly. I then go to record, and it hangs. Even if i try to record an analog channel with my Delta it hangs when i hit record. New problem, any ideas?

after 5 days of toil it works! I have to use N-Track to dump my tracks down from my ADATs using MME drivers while my delta is disabled in my hardware profile. Then i can open those wavs in Vegas and enable my delta for 24 bit playback :). finally this all works! slight pain in the arse though.
