Allen and Heath ZED-R16 questions

Hello, i am looking at getting a ZED-R16 for recording in my basement and was wondering how i can insert effects before the channels are sent through the firewire to my computer. i have a Yamaha SPX 90 and want to add effects to vocals and reverb to drums and such. does anyone know how to do this? because if i am not mistaken, the aux section is all sends not returns. thank you

There's an insert on every channel right there at the top.

If you want to use your SPX 90 as a send, you can route it's output into the line-ins on 15 and 16.
