what is this?
Alright, this is a question posed to anyone who knows more about these things than I do... 
I don't own nor have ever used a SansAmp GT-2, but I do own and have used a Tech21 Trademark 300 amp head. I love the different sounds I can get out of it using a 4x12 cab, but not so much using the direct outs straight to a mixer. There's something missing in there that only a mic'd up cab can produce... For practical purposes, living and recording in a small apartment, I can't bring in my heavy 4x12 cab. I am however looking for a small 2x12, but I want something that will be able to handle the 300 watts of power this amp has. That much power makes me a little nervous putting in front of a 2x12... If need be, I'll make my own if anyone has any suggestions on what kind of speakers to get that will handle that much power. (Price is not an issue, but sound quality/versatilaty are...)
Also a little afterthought... If I did decide to build a cab to use for recording, are there any differences between the tone of an open or closed back cab if it were this small?
