After all the fun recording with everything from Echo, MOTU, Delta ETC , ETC I have finally solved all my problems with Track count, crashes, no effects power and just all out sound... On the advice of a few people in here and after a small demo over at one person on the bbs's studio, I bought a PARIS system.. I have only been working with it for like a week but its awesome. After about 1 hour of opening the box I had recorded some stuff it was by far the easiest thing I have used thusfar. I had some projects on ADAT that I loaded into PARIS and mixed up and they sound much better now by a longshot, this thing friggin rocks! There is something really cool about hitting a solo button and it solos INSTANTLY or moving a fader and hearing the change without ANY delay.... If you haven't checked this thing out I suggest you find somebody who has it and go see it... I have seen quite a few people in here slamming it and its just plain stupid, if you haven't used it yet you need to before you give an opinion. Oh and the converters sound just as good as my Apogee if not better..... Anyway just wanted to share my excitement and say hi after being gone for a while...... After all my frustration I had quit for about 6 months but I am back in the loop...

CODY!!!

welcome back my man. Hey you never put up a demo of the tlm 103 with moster 1000 as you promised.

This will be a good time to put it up, so that I can hear the PARIS converters. I remember that you were looking into it sometime ago.

Anyhow, you said that the converters are as good as your apogees. What apogees do you use, and can you post some audio examples for comparison? If they are as good, then PARIS will definitley be the system of choice.

peace man

Hey, where did "how does it feel" go . I was looking for it on your mp3 page but could not find it.

Hey hey! Been a while man how ya been...

I think I got fed up with recording for a while and never got around to posting that sample..

As far as the Apogee goes I was using the Rosettas.

I just finished a VERY simple guitar vocal with PARIS and am almost done with the mix, its just for a song pitch so its not all that. But it does sound nice for 5 Tracks ;-)

The clip is recorded in 16/44 and encoded at 160 with some free ass encoder I downloaded somewhere. Kinda has a jitter to it and thins it out but you get the point..

PARIS just has such a full rich sound, my new business cards read..

"The power of digital and the warmth of well..... Digital"

Like I said its just a 5 track acoustic guitar/bass vocal...

Cody,

nice song, man....listening on headphones but it sounds pretty damn good.....when I hit the lottery Ill be all over Paris.....

Ive been thinking about going country....never really wore cowboy boots though and I dont have a truck, but I do have an ex wife....when you get a chance, listen to the masterpiece I posted a few weeks ago and let me know if country music has a place for my song....

CODY,

man, was that the tlm 103?. It sounds great on your voice. This recording proves something that I've believed for some time. You'll be getting an email from me on that.

Hey do you still have the rosetta? Are you interested in selling it?

I must say that the PARIS converters sound nice. I could hardly believe that it was done in 16/44.1

I think I'm gonna be getting those studio 1000 cables ASAP

peace

Actually that mic was just my AT4033 going through the JoeMeek VC1Q on my vocals. The TLM was used on the background vocal and the two guitars. I got rid of the rosettas to help pay for some studio upgrades including a new location right on Music Row! I have found that 16 Bit with PARIS sounds awesome to me, I was talking with Brian Tankersley at the SAE PARIS demo and he was telling me he records all his tracks at 16 bit!!!!! And we are talking about a guy that is all over Major label Country and Pop albums.. Though 24 bit sounds pretty friggin awesome as well but its almost like 16 bit has a warmer sound with PARIS...

My email has changed man you can reach me through my site
