All Midi Tracks Playing Same Sound

I'm having major midi issues right now. I'm trying to record multiple midi tracks, yet every time I record a different track, or create a new track, all of the tracks use the same voice. I've tried it with a few instruments and I still have the same result. The midi tracks are each assigned to different channels, yet they all still play the same sound. Any help would be MORE then appreciated!

First off, are you sure that the output channels are different, or is it the input channels that are different? (In SONAR the input channel selection is labeled In, and the output is labeled Ch).

Second, what's your MIDI device? Is it a synth chip on a SOund Blaster-like soundcard, a soft synth, or an external synth? If the latter, it's conceivable it's set to receive in Omni mode, meaning channels are ignored and all messages get responded to.
